- missing PitchBend parameter available
- new ArpModulator modulation source (in Arpeggiator mode)
If you already have Filterscape 1.0...
...please read this before you install because some things have changed,
especially for the Windows version (which is now final!) and for FilterscapeVA in
general:
Windows Version:
During the course of finishing the Windows part of the engine,
the usage of the uhe_data folder has changed. It's still there, but it only contains
resources. It also contains the presets until first launch. These will be copied into a new
location (C:\Program Files\u-he\) where also any preference/support files will be stored.
However, backup your presets before you install! - It is also required
to re-enter the registration codes. These steps are only necessary with this update but not in future
releases!
FilterscapeVA:
I have recently started a poll among all users regarding changes to the order of
automatable parameters. More than 99% of you were *for* these changes, because they
will be helpful in the future. The drawback is, existing automation data for FilterscapeVA
may or may not be corrupted. In some host programs this can easily be fixed by reassigning
the tracks to the new parameter scheme. In other hosts this may be a pita. Some hosts
may even crash if you try to playback old automation data with the new scheme. Hence,
if you encounter weird behaviour or your host doesn't let you reassign the automation
tracks, keep your old version of FilterscapeVA backuped to be on the safe side.
The easiest way to avoid trouble here is to bounce these tracks to disc.
Last but not least, an update to the manual is in the works. But I guess
you'll have plenty of fun just checking out the new presets 8-)
Enjoy,
Urs Heckmann
